It’s a guide to living your life with more space and the importance of making space in the most important areas of your life–namely health, your physical space, your relationships, at work, and how efficiently you live in each.

It’s about clearing space in your life so you can live, love, and work better all around.

It’s about finding the space you need to create, to work on what’s important, and to make yourself a priority more than just once in awhile.

What will this book teach you to do?

My hope is that you’ll walk away with the knowledge and awareness of when you need space. My hope is that you’ll start seeing opportunities for growth and change in your life when you make a little wiggle room for yourself. Once you start making room – you’ll be surprised what pops up!

The lessons themselves aren’t overwhelming and even ground breaking — but given attention, they are simple and effective. I know, because they are a compilation of what I personally do and what many of the women and moms I know do.

If you’re ready to stop feeling guilty when you take a few hours for yourself, you’ll love this. Each lesson will take less than 30 minutes each day to complete. Of course, you can take longer or shorter, depending on what you need, but you will be able to get into the content and back out quickly & easily.

<del>Buy the e-Book version only here for $27</del>

Buy The White Space Solution here for $10.97

After taking time to think about the value of books today and to me personally, I knew that my price had to change. I want to make sure everyone can access this book – a no brainer, real world price.

So I also put together a more comprehensive package, so you can get the most out of the ebook. I personally like to get extra goodies, so here it is … the PLUS version.

Questions & Answers

Have additional questions not covered below? Email me at info at annesamoilov.com with the WSS Question in the subject line!

Q: Can I get it on Kindle, iBooks, or other ebook format?
A: Not yet, but you will be able to very soon!

Q: What about a print version?
A: This is also coming soon!

Q: I just bought the book but don’t know what to do next. How do I get it?
A: You should receive an email (the one you used to pay for the book) that contains a download link. You only get 5 attempts to download the file, so don’t click on it until you’re at the computer you want to download the book to. The download should contain the book and several files, including a “start here” file. This start-here file has very basic instructions and info on how to access the private webpage.

Q: But I never received an email with a download link … what now?
A: No worries … just email me at info@annesamoilov.com, let me know you bought “white space solution” but didn’t receive the link, and I’ll send it to you.

Q: What about an audiobook?
A: Yes yes yes! I went back and forth on this one and do want to create an audio version of the e-book. Email me if you really want it!

p.s. Thanks to Leo Babauta for providing me with a few simple and elegant blog posts I based my own e-book announcement.

That change isn’t just scary but it’s upheaval and means destruction.

But in reality it’s evolution. It’s finesse.

I’m in the thick of it right now. Busy with moving preparations for the Pacific Northwest. Excited for the adventure, but UNSURE of the UNKNOWN. Am I really leaving Los Angeles? The center of the universe?

Yes…you are (Anne). And it’s only the center because you’ve made it so.

You will now watch me embrace and enjoy the change. Change is where the magic happens. Where big things can occur. Where new opportunity lives.

It’s going to be bumpy, but oh those bumps will be glorious!

And now…and just so everyone (especially myself) is crystal clear…I’d like to introduce you to my true center – the 2 people nearest and dearest to me.

Recently, I’ve been canceling a lot of things from my calendar. Just canceling. It feels quite rebellious.

My life, like yours, is fully of projects, work, family, errands, all kinds of lovely people, closet organizing aspirations….I could go on and on. I filled up the calendar with all that good stuff and found myself feeling bummed out by it, anxious and resentful. I wanted white space – not a zoo of text- on the calendar page.

For a week, I hung out in the discomfort, saying to myself, “I want free time. But I just can’t right now. I have commitments.” It took some stewing and a helpful chat with a friend before I was willing to take my longing seriously and act.

Acting was high stakes. I’m a people-pleaser. I hate to back out of commitments. I worry I’ll offend or disappoint.

I can report back: The world didn’t stop turning. People understood. Some people even thanked me for getting us both of the hook for things neither of us were wholeheartedly committed to.

I now have a lot of white space in my calendar, and it feels delicious. Undeniably right. My anxiety and resentment are gone, which shows me once again: when I get in touch with what is happening within, believe it’s valid and act from there, life works. I feel generous and connected to myself.

I know that most of us want more white space in our lives, and it is difficult to make it happen.

Here are three easy steps to creating white space in your life:

1. Take yourself seriously.

2. Pack your courage.

3. Start small.

1. Take Yourself Seriously. If white space is calling you, take that call seriously. Something important wants to be born, to heal, or to rest, and needs white space to do that. White space will, without a doubt, give you a precious gift. Don’t miss it.

2. Pack your courage. In our culture, busyness is celebrated. We draw a subtle sense of security and worth from it. Many workplaces celebrate martyrs who sacrifice themselves to busyness, instead of recognizing those that produce great results without overwhelm and long work days. Recognize that these cultural forces are alive in your life. Creating white space requires leaving the herd. You’ll need courage to do it.

There is another reason that you’ll need courage. Especially at first, white space feels uncomfortable. White space isn’t really white, because all the colors that are in you quickly fill the space. White space is the container for you to discover, spend time with, and paint with those colors. Feeling resistant and scared to being with what might come up is normal. This is a habit that takes some practice to get used to. Be in it for the long run with yourself, and sit through the discomfort that will show up at first.

3. Small is big. Small changes — what we do with 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 seconds — have a huge impact. If scheduling an hour of white space strikes you as a hilarious joke or physical impossibility, begin with:

* Five minutes for pure white space time every morning or every evening. Check in with what is happening with yourself at that moment.
* Between appointments, instead of a quick email check, dedicate 2-5 minutes for white space. Connect with your body, your breath, or a part of nature. That desk plant counts! If you have an iphone, try Dream, a free application that provides sounds of rain, ocean, and rushing wind. This will help you click into a white space frame of mind.
* Find low-quality time–transit time, time spent drying your hair or folding the laundry, and bring a white space intention to it. Slow down and reconnect to yourself.

Let me know how it goes.

Love,

Tara

I mean, in every area of your life.

Also, if you’re looking for a way to increase your productivity, your sense of clarity and focus, then do only those things that will yield the most visible and lasting results for you.

I’m not perfect at it, but because I strive to do the most critical tasks and focus on my most important work, I can overcome the need to be busy pretty easily. Something about this past weekend at a conference and learning about high performance & productivity really tuned my brain back to this idea.

The concept sounds like a great idea, right? But it’s not easy. The second your day starts, you might get wrapped up in 10 million tasks – and the roller coaster ride of your day can get out of control fast. I know. I’m a mom…and as my daughter and business grow, so does my need to make sure I am clearly pointed in the right direction.

How do you know if you’re doing your “best” or “most important” work/play?

By looking at all your activities and then doing only (or mostly) the activities that will lead to RESULTS in your life, business, or health.

If you aren’t sure what this means, let me give you a few super simple/basic examples from my own life:

Example 1
Mila: Sit her in front of the tv while I make dinner vs. Taking her for a special mommy and Mila dinner alone.

Result: Undivided relationship bonding and building with Mila leads to her being happier, less whiny or cranky for the remainder of the day. It also builds trust and the confidence that her mommy loves her!

Example 2
Work: Check my email the first thing I get up in the morning vs. Making my time block schedule for the morning where Email is one of the things I do.

Result: Checking email first thing in the morning is the best way to lose sight of what you need to do for the day. Starting by scheduling blocks of time to focus on your most important “to do’s” and projects gets your to real goals faster.

Example 3
Self: going for a walk around the pond vs. scheduling 3 workouts at a local studio.

Result: Scheduling anything makes it a priority. Taking a random walk around the pond isn’t getting you to any fitness goals. It’s a good head clearing activity, but if your goal is to get in shape/lose 10 pounds, have extended periods of energy, then you need to schedule specific workouts – and perhaps at a specific place. I’m not saying don’t go for a walk, but understand that it’s not an activity that’s going to get you to your bigger fitness goals.

How Do You Know What To Do First?

I know this is going to sound basic, but you need to sit down, take a piece of paper and write your top projects or activities down. You need to give yourself some sort of a road map or else you’ll keep yourself busy but get nowhere or worse start losing the mindset that you can reach your goals. (We gotta keep those self-limiting thoughts to a minimum!)

Once you know what your goals are – day by day – and longer term, you’ll be able to ask yourself the honest questions: “Is this getting me to that end result I want? Is this experience increasing the joy in my life? Are my relationships improving because of this activity or behavior? Is my health improving and or not?”

So, here’s what to do…

1. Write down your top 5 projects or activities you want to do

2. Write down 1 action you can take on each – but make it a good one

3. Schedule that action on your calendar.

Once you get used to seeing your goals and priorities this way, you can start asking these as daily questions….and really laser focus on your daily productivity.

But don’t go there yet.

Broad strokes.

Small steps first.

Leave your answers below and tell me know what action you will take today!

I’m excited and honored to introduce Kimberly Riggins. Don’t forget to leave her a comment below! She knows what it takes start feeling hot again and the power of embracing your sensuality has on every aspect of your life.

Are you someone who has a million things on her to-do list?

Do you put everyone else in front of yourself?

Have you noticed that you don’t feel so “hot” in your own skin anymore?

Do you feel like you’ve lost that sensual, sexy, playful part of yourself?

Well…the good news is, you are certainly not alone. I believe every woman out there, whether you are a mom, career woman, or business owner, has experienced this. And if you haven’t, I promise you it will creep up on you when you least expect it.

Believe me…I should know because this is exactly what happened to me.

The reality is I lost my femininity!

And I was paying dearly for it.

This impacted my perception of myself, skewed my body image, lowered my self-esteem and virtually left me with no energy to be the sexy, sensual being I was put on this earth to be.

Can you relate? Do you find yourself wondering where YOU went? Do you yearn for more?

I know I was. I was dying inside. I was walking around with so many things to do, being pulled in so many different directions and never taking a second to really nourish myself.

So, I set out to change that. And I am here to tell you…it is really possible. You can love yourself again. You can rock that body no matter what shape or size you are and you can have fun, be sexy, ooze sensuality and still get most of your to-do list done (let’s face it…it was time to shorten that list anyway!)

And what I promise is that if you really do these things, not only will you be happier, but you will be more productive and everyone around you will be magnetized.

Step One: Become One With Your Naked Body.

Learn to love every inch of your being by taking the time to appreciate it on a regular basis. Stand in front of a mirror, tell yourself how amazing you look, practice your version of the Mirror Mantra. Why naked you ask? Because if you can love yourself with nothing on, you can rock anything out. It truly is the most empowering feeling of your life.

Step Two: Experience Pleasure and Fun Every Day.

Life without pleasure and fun is…well, boring. Try to incorporate them in some way everyday. This could mean eating your favorite foods slowly and methodically, taking 10 minute in the morning to massage some body lotion into your skin, turning on some music and rocking out to your favorite songs, experimenting with a new exercise routine, creating a weekly date night with your man, wearing silky lingerie to bed instead of those ripped up sweatpants, taking a bubble bath infused with rose petals…whatever resonates for you (For me…it was eating chocolate naked!). The point is to create pleasure everyday. Don’t wait for it to come to you. Make it happen.

Step Three: Take Bold Action.

The quickest way to feel better in your own skin, to love who you are and to get that sensual feeling back is to be bold. Be daring. Do something you always wanted to do but were afraid to. Step outside your comfort zone. For me, it was taking pole dancing lessons and being in my underwear during boudoir photos. What are one or two things you always wished you could do? Take that leap into the abyss. Your life will never be the same. Be prepared to feel invigorated and to have a renewed passion for love, life and yourself.

Don’t you think you owe it to yourself, your partner, your kids, family and friends the chance to spend time with the fun-loving, beautiful, courageous, exciting version of YOU?

What are you waiting for? Take your first step today. And if you need help, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. I will be right there with you, every step of the way.
