I started pilates about six weeks ago at Body Wellness where Anne is an instructor. I am currently training for a marathon and wanted to use pilates as a cross-training regimen to increase my strength and flexibility. I cannot say enough good things about pilates and how it has helped my training.
My posture has improved significantly, and I can stretch into poses that I would have thought impossible prior to my pilates sessions.
After a long or difficult run, doing pilates the next morning will completely loosen up my muscles and get rid of most of my soreness.
Anne is absolutely amazing. Her classes have a very balanced mixture of stretching and more strength-oriented exercises.
Even in full classes, she checks everyone’s form to make sure that the exercises are executed properly.
Most importantly, Anne knows the strengths and weaknesses of her students and works this information into each class- for example, when we do exercises that are especially beneficial to runners, she lets me know the target muscle group and the benefit that I receive from the exercise.
She also provides modifications for those with back injuries or other rehab issues. She is more than willing to help answer questions before and after class about specific issues. I highly recommend Anne and look forward to taking classes with her in the future. I am hooked!

I’ve been going to Anne for pilates training since mid March and she is amazing.
I was a little afraid at first because I am a large woman (mobidly obese would be the medical term) and was worried that working on the reformer machines would be too difficult. Not so!
I get a great work out and so does everyone in the class. She makes everyone feel welcome and works everyone at their own level (there was one exercise that was a bit too advanced for me and she had something else for me to do so I didn’t feel left out.)
Also! no one there makes you feel intimidated–she has all levels in her class as well as all shapes and sizes.
Anne makes me wish I could quit my job and take pilates all the time! Come on out—I’ll see you there!

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and my Pilates sessions with Anne have been such a great help and motivator! I’ve been taking reformer classes I find my relapses are now few and far between.
No doubt the stretching and strengthening of muscles is one reason for my relief.
